Your messages are a great comfort. Sue has been upgraded to serious/stable. She is conscious and breathing on her own. Both wrists were badly broken along with a number of other trauma injuries which I won't list. Each day is better -- yet this brings me closer to the dreaded moment when I must tell her what happened to Jenny. Sue does not know anything about Jenny nor does she remember anything of the accident. Besides learning the news myself - telling Sue about Jenny will be the most difficult moment of my life. I expect this will happen in the next day or two.
Christopher (our 10 year old) is doing well considering the circumstances. I wish I could be with him more - but he is with other kids who loved Jenny, too, and somehow just playing together is the best thing they could be doing - so say the experts at this point.
Please feel free to pass the address to this board along to others - and also use it when needed to share with each other. We all hurt and we all need to support each other.
Plans for services are contingent on Sue's condition -- She must be able to attend at least part of this process. So we may all have to wait a few more days than traditional. I will post details as the become available.
Your prayers and condolences are deeply felt.
Ken
