This was and is my favorite poem that we received when our Laurie died. It still means a great deal to me 4 years later. It is by Ellen Brenneman.
"Her Journey's just begun"
Don't think of her as gone away
her journey's just begun;
life holds so many facets
this earth is only one.
Just think of her as resting
from the sorrow and the tears
in a place of warmth and comfort
where there are no days and years.
Think how she must be wishing
that we could know today
how nothing but our sadness
can really pass away.
And think of her as living
in the hearts of those she touched
for nothing loved is ever lost
and she was loved so much.
All that we have heard and read of Jenny lets us know
that she will never be forgotten She touched many in her young life. That in it self is a great legacy ! God will provide the strength and courage you will need in the days ahead. As a survivor, I know
.
With Love, Pauline
